Class Description
Join us as we make what is considered one of China's most flavorful bowls of noodles! We'll start by showing you how to make your own homemade aromatic chili oil, followed by a complex spicy sauce for mixing your noodles, and finally an umami-bursting topping consisting of ground pork and preserved vegetables (sui mi ya cai). We'll also be preparing a chilled silken tofu dish to tame the heat. Returning guest chef is David Lynn Drzick, who in addition to being webmaster behind Pacific Rim Foods and Cravings, is also the owner of Ruby 'Que Catering and 3rd Place Winner of the Confucius Institute Master Chef Competition. He has travelled to China several times and is always pursuing authentic dishes for his family or social gatherings.
